Milana

Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub of the American is an actor, comedian, and activist. Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents, she began her career as a child actor shortly after immigrating to the United States. She is most famous for her appearances in AT&T commercials on TV. In these commercials, she was Lily Adams (2013 to 2016) and in 2020 (since 2020). She was also a regular series regular on the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction show Other Space (2015). She also played an actor in the NBC drama This Is Us 2016-2017. Vayntrub has also been voiced as Squirrel Girl in the Marvel Rising franchise since 2018 after she was selected to play Squirrel Girl in the unaired television pilot of New Warriors. Vayntrub is a Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR) native and is a Jew. When she was two years old, she and her parents immigrated to the U.S. as refugees to avoid antisemitism and settled in West Hollywood. At the age of five, she began appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials. This was partly due to difficulties in the family's finances. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. In her sophomore year she quit and obtained an GED. She went on however to earn the Bachelor of Arts Communication from University of California San Diego. She was introduced to improv comedy through the Upright Citizens Brigade.
