Abigale Le Miller bio
Abigale Lee
Mills (born September 21, 1965) was an American dance instructor,
choreographer, and reality television host. Abby Lee Dance Company is her
creation, which aired for eight seasons on Dance Moms. On June 27, 2016, Miller
pleaded guilty to fraudulent bankruptcy in felony. Miller was sentenced on the
27th of June the 27th of June, 2016 to a year and one day in federal prison.
She was released March 27, 2018. The diagnosis of lymphoma was made in April of
2018. It is a form of cancer that leaves her incapable of walking. To get
around, she now uses wheelchair. Miller was raised around dance in Penn Hills,
Pennsylvania, which is a Pittsburgh suburb. She studied under the tutelage of
her mother at the Maryen Lorrain Dance Studio. Miller aged 14 at the time, was
given the choreography and the coaching of one of her mother's dance
competition teams. Miller was given the reins of the studio and renamed Reign
Dance Productions in 1995. Miller was recognized as a certified dancer by Dance
Masters of America in 1986. She became an official member of Dance Masters of
Pennsylvania Chapter 10 in February 2012. However Miller's membership was
terminated by DMA in February 2012 after the DMA said that Miller's reality
television show Dance Moms was "a complete misrepresentation of dance
teachers and students and is harmful to the dance industry."
